These are two or more layers of silky patchwork fabric known as Kantha. They are hand sewn together with cotton thread in large stitches. Fabric content varies and you may find silk or synthetic in them, most times with a cotton backing.
The edges are bound by machine so no further edge finishing is needed. Size vary a little but are in the area of 60" X 90" or twin size.
