Cut It Out! A ScanNCut Class with Linda Berg Wednesday November 5th from 10-3

This month, we are excited to help you continue mastering your ScanNCut machines. Our goal is to build your skills while having fun and creating amazing projects along the way. This workshop focuses on using adhesive vinyl, sometimes referred to as permanent vinyl. In this session, we will focus exclusively on adhesive vinyl. Although there's also heat transfer vinyl, we will explore that in a future class. Adhesive vinyl is perfect for a variety of projects, and it’s essential to understand its properties and uses. Tools and Techniques Transfer Tape: Learn how to use transfer tape effectively to move your designs from the backing sheet to your project surface. Half-Cut Feature: Master the Half-Cut feature on your ScanNCut machine, which is crucial for cutting vinyl without damaging the backing. Weeding: Discover the art of weeding, a process that involves removing excess vinyl from your design. Don't worry, it's not gardening, but it is equally satisfying! Class Supply List: Supplies needed: ScanNCut machine – do update if needed Mats standard one is fine if not new or bring your low tack Black standard blade or Auto Vinyl Blade Computer, power cord & mouse with Canvas Workspace installed Adhesive Vinyl - Oracal or Siser are both good brands Transfer Tape Weeding tools (they look like dental picks - I’ll have some in class for you) Brayer, spatula, any tools you like to use A tape measure is important to measure your items Optional is a lightbox if you have one - helps with the weeding process Please bring a picture frame & a candle jar to decorate - maybe a plate for decoration, anything you want to add a label to, or just fancy up a jar or container. I labeled all my blades on the container so I could find things easier, also added a monogram decal to my car window Oh, the things you can do! It's limitless!
